New collaboration with Katrine from Movement Society - Certified dietician and fitness instructor
What is the collaboration between Movement Society and Casa Bailar about?
Katrine Daugaard Stevnshoved will run short team sessions around diet and exercise (with a maximum of 9 participants) in Casa Bailar’s new premises from January 2020. The first ‘diet and exercise’ course of 6 weeks is called: “Restore the balance in the body. Get rid of pain and inflammation. “
The course is for you with imbalance in the body. Through an anti-inflammatory diet, we seek to create balance in the body so that inflammation and thus also pain is reduced. As such, the course is not a slimming course. Many participants still experience weight loss and especially the waist measurement will change. Exercise often has a pain-relieving effect and used in the right way improves your mobility. This gives less pain. During the course, we therefore let our physique work with us to both achieve better mobility and relieve pain. However, this course is not just for dancers – anyone with body aches can participate.
We are really looking forward to Katrine running these courses with us, because a lot of dancers know about pain and many others know that pain keeps them from dancing. Which is a shame as dancing is actually a great way to move the body and many of us with pain dancing know that dancing can also prevent and relieve pain.
