Pardans:
You dance on top of each other in ballroom dancing, so if you sweat a lot, it’s a good idea to bring an extra t-shirt, top or shirt.
We have the possibility for you to wash yourself/bath if you come directly from work and need to freshen up before dancing.

Your shoes should be for indoor use.
Special dancing shoes are not a must.
Most importantly, you must be able to pivot on the floor in the shoes you are dancing in, otherwise you will put unnecessary strain on your knees.

Once you have signed up for pole fitness in Casa Bailar, you can use our booking system “holdsport.dk” to book yourself into our regular classes (e.g. level classes and pole dance) & free training classes (open hoop & pole). It is also possible to be put on a waiting list for a place on the teams.
You can book yourself onto the classes and waiting list via the app or online.

The free training sessions “open pole & hoop” are free sessions and are in addition to the sessions included in the regular sessions. There is no instructor in these classes, so you must be able to warm up properly and train independently.

With us, it does not matter what size you are. Anyone can join, and as we only have small teams with max. 10-12 per class we create a good bond among the students.

To join our adult classes, you must be at least 15 years old.
If you are under 15 years old, you can sign up for our KIDS classes.
You’re welcome to bring your mom/sister/significant other so they can see what pole fitness is all about.

Polefitness is a form of exercise like any other, where you start as a beginner and slowly build up strength and technique. The classes are of course adapted to the individual students and their level.

Normally we train in shorts (hotpants) and short-sleeved t-shirts or a top.
The kneecaps and arms must at least be free, as otherwise it would be impossible to get a grip on the pole. But to start with, you can wear clothes that you feel comfortable in. And as time goes on, you quickly find out what you thought was nice and functional. You are welcome to wear long trousers and a sweater for the warm-up, so you get good warmth in the body before training. Also read the class description for each class, because we recommend long trousers and a jersey for aerial hoop and stretching, for example.

We generally train in bare feet or socks. Outdoor shoes may not be worn on the premises.

What to remember when going to class?

A small towel to wipe the pole off with.
A large towel to put over the mat, or bring your own mat if you have it.
Avoid using creams or oils before the lesson, as you will then find it impossible to use the pole (get a grip on the pole).
As far as possible, avoid having nail polish on your toes as it spreads on the floor.
No finger rings on the fingers, as they may break on the pole.

You will need long training pants, socks and a long-sleeved blouse for warming up, and shorts / hotpants, sports bra and sleeveless top for the training itself. Remember a cloth to wipe the pole and a towel to put on top of one of our mats. You are also welcome to bring your own mat.

You’ll need long leggings, socks and a long-sleeved shirt for the warm-up, sports bra and sleeveless top for the workout. Remember a towel to put on top of one of our mats. You are also welcome to bring your own mat.

We dance modern dance on bare feet or stockings. Sometimes in shorts, but mostly with long pants. Knee protectors can be an advantage, as we often have knees in the floor at floorwork
