FAQ - about events

Do all events have anything to do with music and dance?

Not all of our events have to do with music and dance. But there will be workshops where the focus is on music and dance, or where music and dance are a spice. But there will also be events with solo and partner dance. Check out our event calendar to see a more detailed description of the individual events.

Do you need to bring your own partner to your events?

No, you do not necessarily have to bring a partner to our events. If there are events that require a partner, we are happy to help you find one – whether you are a leader or a follower. We can not promise anything, but we make an honest effort to help those who want to participate

What does it cost, how do I pay and how do I sign up?

Our events can be purchased in the shop on this page. There may also be drop-in events where you can pay via mobilpay or cash. In our event calendar or on Facebook you will find more info about buying a ticket or paying for events. Prices are very different and depend on time, place or type of event.

Salsa lessons

In Casa Bailar we dance Cuban salsa, where you dance around in circular motion while the couple dances with small steps, shapes and turns. During the dance, the leader often releases the follower in shorter sequences. In these sequences, the focus is on solo dancing with nice arm movements, delicious hip roll and a lot of footwork. With us, we place emphasis on communication between the couple. It is important during the dance, therefore there must be room for eye contact, smiles and laughter. We have classes for both adults and young people under 25.

Bachata lessons

Come and join us when Casa Bailar fills Roskilde with delicious Caribbean rhythms. We have classes at several levels, from beginner to advanced. We'll go through dance steps and variations so you're ready to hit the social dance floor. At Casa Bailar, we currently dance primarily bachata fusion, but we also include body rolls.
Casa Bailar and our instructors provide good music and a thorough introduction to the dance, all our classes are small, so there is plenty of time to work on musicality, moves and leading technique.
We have classes for both adults and young people under the age of 25.

Kizomba lessons

At the moment, we don't offer regular scheduled kizomba classes.
But we do have regular workshops and mini classes.
In February, we just offered 4 kizomba fusion classes, which is brand new in Denmark.
